Job Overview
We are recruiting Support Workers to join our team in Lowestoft supporting three gentlemen aged between their 30s and 50s. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same.
The people we support love spending time in the community and enjoy a wide range of hobbies including sailing, swimming, football, music events, walking, trampolining, and sunny days out.
Responsibilities
- Support people in their own homes with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
- Encourage independence and provide personalised care in line with individual care plans, including personal care, manual handling, eating and drinking support, medication administration, following SALT plans, and epilepsy support.
- Communicate effectively with non‑verbal residents using alternative communication methods.
- Assist with community activities and ensure safe participation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally for community activities.
- Patience, observant, and ability to communicate with non‑verbal individuals.
- Experience in person‑centred support or willingness to be trained.
- All roles subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
Working Hours & Contract Types
- Full‑time, part‑time, and relief contracts available.
- Shifts between 7 am and 10 pm, with waking nights and sleep‑in shifts also available.
- Sleep‑ins paid at a flat rate of £63.40; weekend working is part of the role.
Compensation & Benefits
- £25,577 per annum (full‑time) and £24,402 per annum (part‑time) pro‑rata, plus excellent benefits.
