Support Worker

Support Worker – Gloucester

Pay rate starts at: £12.95 per hour.

This position requires you to hold for 1 year a Full UK Manual Driving licence and be over the age of 21 due to insurance policy to drive our on site vehicles.

Typical shifts are 8am – 3pm and 3pm – 10pm on a rota Monday – Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Teach new life skills to support individuals.
• Assist with personal care.
• Encourage access to local communities and support participation in social activities.
• Plan and facilitate activities and outings, such as local restaurants and appointments.
• Provide companionship during leisure activities like watching films or cinema outings.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 1 year.
• Over 21 years of age.
• Resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
• Passion for enhancing the quality of life for the people you support and a genuine caring attitude.
