What is involved?
We are a friendly and welcoming team and are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Clerical Officer to support busy teams of Social Workers, providing a professional, effective and efficient receptionist service and general administrative support to visitors, callers, users and social work staff.
You will be answering incoming telephone calls, providing reception duties including greeting and receiving visitors. You will also need to be able to work unsupervised using your initiative.
The role will be primarily based at our office in Chester Let Street; however you will be required to work across different sites and therefore need to have a flexible approach to work.
What will I need?
You will need a minimum of 4 GCSEs (Graded A-C) including English Language or Literature or NVQ Level 2 in a related subject or equivalent. Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria. If successful, you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
Interviews
Interviews will be held week commencing 15th June 2026. We operate a guaranteed interview scheme for applicants that have met all essential criteria and have indicated they have a disability, are a looked‑after young person, care leaver or a veteran.
