About the role

Up to £65,283 + excellent benefits. This teaching position is within Witherslack Group’s newly built Luxborough Court School, a 150‑pupil, purpose‑built SEND school for children aged 5–19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs to help them learn, develop abilities and raise self‑esteem.
  • Be a resilient and dedicated teacher, delivering full lessons and supporting pupils’ progress.
  • Collaborate with in‑house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals to provide a holistic learning environment.
  • Use therapeutic intervention and bespoke support spaces to address individual needs.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates small victories and promotes confidence.

Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience in a SEND setting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Recorded passion for teaching, and experience in a computing teacher role is a plus.
  • Resilience, commitment and a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
