Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced person to join our CAMHS Service as a Receptionist/ Admin Support to assist in the delivery of a wide range of services to the children and young people of South Derbyshire.

Your role is primarily based at Temple House, Mill Hill Lane, Derby, DE23 6SA. Occasional cover may be required at alternative bases to cover annual leave or sick leave at CAMHS Bases Rivermead, Goods Road, Belper; Ripley Resource Centre (above Library) and Century House, 100 Nottingham Road, Long Eaton.

8:00 am – 4:00 pm Wednesday to Friday with occasional cover for annual leave and sickness for the evening clinic (until 8:00 pm).

The Trust policy for posts that are time‑limited states that applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis with approval from their line manager. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation will receive a fixed‑term contract.

Main Duties of the Job

We are looking for a highly motivated, friendly, outgoing, reliable and flexible person to join our receptionist/admin support team.

Applicants will need the confidence and experience to be able to deliver a high‑quality front‑of‑house reception/admin support service, including:

  • Greeting clients to our premises
  • Dealing with a wide range of telephone callers
  • Working as part of a team delivering an excellent support service to our CAMHS clinical teams and their clients
  • Experience of multi‑tasking in a busy office environment is required

We are looking for a team player with a pleasant, welcoming manner and the ability to prioritise conflicting workload demands.

You will have good communication and organisational skills, together with IT skills (Word and Outlook essential), to be able to work with the general public both in person and on the telephone in a fast‑paced and ever‑changing environment.

  • 1 year of office experience
  • Diary management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Telephone manner/discretion with sensitive information

  • SystmOne / EPR
  • NHS experience

Qualifications

  • OHSRA 1 typing or word processing or equivalent experience (typing test)
  • English GCSE Grade C or equivalent
  • Customer Service Training
