Headquartered in Paris with offices and consultants globally, we produce around 40 events a year, ranging in size and industry scope. The sectors we cover include aerospace; space and defence; aviation; automotive; rail; advanced and additive manufacturing; chemicals; cosmetics; pharmaceutical; energy; environment; technology; infrastructure; composite materials; medical; packaging and food processing.
The ABE concept of one-to-one meetings offers participants a wide range of potential clients and business partners. Our teams work to bring together the suppliers, decision makers, contractors, and key stakeholders across the relevant industry supply chains to ensure all event participants come away satisfied.
Role Description
We are currently looking for a Sales Manager who will work as part of the UK team to develop our business and promote our projects to the relevant audiences and clients. The events in question will be focused on new technologies and global advancements in the aerospace, space, defence and automotive manufacturing sectors.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the City of Bristol, with the flexibility to work from home on certain days. The Sales Manager will identify and cultivate client relationships, generate new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth for events. The role includes developing sales strategies, negotiating with clients, and collaborating with the marketing and event teams to ensure client satisfaction and event success. Regular meetings with potential and existing clients will also be part of the role to establish strong networks and partnerships.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in Sales, Account Management, or Business Development
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic planning and analytical abilities to identify market opportunities and deliver results
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as marketing and event production
- Experience in any of the aerospace, space, defense, or automotive manufacturing sectors is highly desirable but not a requirement
- Proficient in digital tools and CRM platforms for sales tracking
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-office and remote work
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not essential
