Job Summary

We are looking for a confident Bank Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare. You’ll have the opportunity to pick up 12 hour shifts that suit your lifestyle, supporting our service users at Hawkstone House in Keighley.

Hawkstone is a specialist residential service in Bradford, West Yorkshire, supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge. Job Duties

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible, learning approach for all residents.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
  • Learn about each individual’s specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
  • Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs.
  • Safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
  • Support service users to access the community, including work, college, hobbies, activities, days out and holidays.
  • Support service users to grow, develop and learn through tasks such as cooking and cleaning.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
  • Sensitive and intuitive, with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating and varied environment.
  • Able to empower and support service‑user independence.
