Role
As a Carpenter / Fire Door Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and remediation of fire doors in line with current UK fire safety regulations. You will be working on a variety of occupied and non-occupied sites, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Proven competence in the installation, repair, and replacement of fire doors and frames
- Fire door inspections and remedial works
- Ensuring compliance with BS 8214, BM Trada, and FPA Level 3 fire door qualification
- Accurate completion of job reports and compliance documentation
- Working independently and as part of a wider compliance team
- Liaising professionally with clients, site managers, and residents
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter / Joiner
- Fire door installation and remedial experience essential
- Understanding of UK fire door regulations and standards
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred)
- CSCS Card (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work to deadlines and high quality standards
