Job Description:

We’re looking for Female Care Assistants in the Penrhyndeudraeth area. As a Female Care Assistant with Cera you will be playing a fundamental part in improving vulnerable people’s lives through the care and support that you provide. You will be supporting people who have varying needs and abilities, including learning disabilities, complex needs and mental health conditions.

Covering: Penrhyndeudraeth, Porthmadog, Harlech, and Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Role highlights

  • Shift patterns consist of 24‑hour blocks – pay – days or nights; we are flexible on the days you work although some weekend working is essential.
  • We can consider both drivers and non‑drivers.

Are you the person who can support individuals to live independently in their own home while promoting a safe, healthy and secure living environment? Your personality matters most with this role. You should be friendly, patient, able to interact and build relationships, and overcome communication barriers. You will be happy to integrate into their lives and help with all aspects of daily living, which may include accompanying them on holidays and social events. You’ll also encourage those you support to build their own social network and interact with families and friends.

A small cohort of our individuals who live in our supported living homes are capable of leading and living independent lives. Your support will help them maintain their independence and live their best life. The role may also involve elements of personal care.

If you are kind and compassionate, patient and friendly, you will make the perfect support worker – no experience is required and full training is given. We are keen to speak to you.

In Wales, all social care staff must register with Social Care Wales (SCW), which incurs an annual fee. You must also work towards achieving a recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification within your first three years as a Social Care worker.
