Protocol Education is working with lovely nurseries and primary schools across Bristol and Bath looking for caring, reliable and energetic Early Years Support Staff to join them after half-term.

We’re searching for brilliant Nursery Assistants and Learning Support Staff who understand that in Early Years, the little things matter a lot. A warm smile at drop-off. Helping a child zip their coat independently. Sitting on the carpet for one more story. Building trust, confidence and those all-important first friendships

Whether you’re experienced in EYFS or looking to grow your career in early years education, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into welcoming settings where kindness, teamwork and wellbeing genuinely come first.

Locations: Bristol & BathPay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour, paid weekly

What Your Days Could Look Like

No two days are ever the same in Early Years, and honestly, that’s half the fun

  • Supporting play-based learning and creative activities
  • Helping little learners build early phonics and number confidence
  • Working one-to-one or in small groups with children who need extra support
  • Encouraging independence, curiosity and positive routines
  • Supporting children with SEND and individual learning needs
  • Comforting wobbles, celebrating wins and making children feel safe and seen

  • Love working with children aged 2 to 5
  • Are naturally calm, patient and nurturing
  • Don’t mind getting stuck into messy play, singing songs or story corners
  • Build trust quickly with young children and families
  • Understand that every child develops differently
  • Have experience in nurseries, schools, childcare or SEND settings

What We Need To Get You Cleared

We keep the process straightforward so you can get started quickly.

All we’ll need is:

  • A valid passport
  • Two proofs of address
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education
  • Two years of references, including childcare where possible
  • An overseas police check if you’ve lived abroad for 3+ months in the last five years
