About the Direct Payment Holder L: L is a 23‑year‑old lad diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition and a learning disability. He enjoys Formula 1, going to the cinema, garden centre, shopping for clothes, drama club, and spending time with his girlfriend, her family, friends and brother.

Hours and rate of pay: 3 hours per week – Saturday or Monday. Pay: £15 per hour.

Location: Burwell, CB25.

Requirements: DBS check confirmation, right to work and references. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential; mileage money will be paid.

Responsibilities

• Supporting with travel training such as using the bus, understanding timetables and paying fares.
• Supporting L to understand the value of money.
• Ordering and paying for drinks and food.
• Generally expanding knowledge of life skills.

Required skills and experience

• Experience of supporting others in the community (preferred but not essential).
• Experience of supporting family members (desirable).
• Cheerful and enthusiastic, enjoys community‑based activities.
• Good time‑keeping skills, as L responds well to routine.
• Driving licence with own vehicle (as required).
