Priory Ridgecott is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker.

We are located in Plympton, Devon. It offers residential support for 10 males and females who are autistic, have a learning disability or mental health needs. We are on a quiet street, near the town centre.

Our team is dedicated to providing our residents with the highest level of person‑centred care, ensuring they live a happy and healthy life.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents.

  • Previous experience working in social care, healthcare, or a related support role
  • Experience providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities
  • Familiarity with working alongside individuals with disabilities and mental health conditions
  • Experience in communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Here at Priory we are looking for a support worker with prior experience in social care, healthcare, or a related support role, where they have assisted individuals with daily living activities and personal care. Experience working with people who have disabilities, mental health challenges, or elderly clients is highly valued, as it reflects an understanding of their unique needs. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively liaise with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals. Additionally, the ability to remain calm in emergency situations and accurately follow care plans is crucial to ensure the safety and well‑being of those you support.
