As a Support Worker for the Young People’s Services at Peabody, you will play a vital role in helping young people live independently and thrive within their communities. You will support individuals who may be socially excluded, disabled, unwell, young mothers or homeless.
What You’ll Do
- Provide high‑quality, person‑centred support to young people in supported housing.
- Conduct needs and risk assessments, develop and review support plans.
- Offer practical assistance with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and managing finances.
- Help young people build confidence, develop life skills and work towards personal goals.
- Assist in accessing community resources, sustaining their housing, and exploring future housing options.
- Liaise with external agencies, attend team meetings and training, and maintain accurate records.
- Commit to safeguarding, equality and the delivery of excellent service in line with Peabody’s values.
What You’ll Need
- Experience supporting vulnerable people in the community or a supported living environment.
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with young people and external partners.
- A compassionate, empathetic approach with a genuine desire to make a difference.
- Confidence to work independently (including lone working) and in a team.
- Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- A driving licence and own vehicle for travel between schemes.
- Enhanced DBS check.

This role includes 2 sleep‑in shifts per week, with an additional £73.89 per shift.
The role is full‑time, onsite and requires availability five days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts may include early mornings and evenings.
