The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity based in Brighton & Hove and the wider Sussex community that has been working with people with a Learning Disability and autistic people since 1898. Our mission is to work towards being led by people with Learning Disabilities and autistic people to deliver high‑quality housing, support and activities in their local communities. - We’re looking for someone to support a person with autism to enjoy their weekly visit to Chessington World of Adventures during the open season.
About the Role
- Fridays, 9 am–4 pm
- Support one individual with autism to enjoy their weekly trip to Chessington
- Engage in theme park activities – yes, including going on the rides!
- Must be a driver with access to a car (mileage paid at £0.45 per mile)
Qualifications / Requirements
- Enthusiastic, outgoing and comfortable with busy environments?
- Confident going on rides and engaging positively throughout the day?
- Do you have experience supporting people with autism either professionally or personally?
- Patient, reliable and up for a fun and active day every Friday?
- A driver with access to a car? – Mileage will be paid inline with our policy
People we support would like someone who is Kind, patient, well organised and trustworthy. Understanding in Autism and Active support would be preferred but not necessary as training is provided.
