Job Description

Part time Support Worker 20 hours per week at Endurance Care – Seabrook. Joining bonus £300. Salary: £312.71 per hour (£13,218.40 per annum).

Role Overview

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. This is a sometimes challenging role but one with huge rewards. You will build positive relationships by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together. You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands. You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication. You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy. You will make a positive impact on someone’s life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions with residents.
  • Plan and support residents with daily tasks and practical activities such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands.
  • Assist with personal care tasks including eating and administering medication.
  • Organise and participate in days out and leisure activities.
  • Support residents to become more independent wherever possible.

Qualities & Experience

  • Caring attitude with a passion for supporting others and a motivation to see them achieve goals.
  • Team player, able to work effectively with other colleagues.
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and confidence to seek support when needed.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
