Learning Support Assistant
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and competent Learning Support Assistant who will work well as part of a team that truly wants the best for our students. If you enjoy working with young people and want to help them prepare for their future working lives, we would like to hear from you.
- NJC Scale Point: 3 – 4
- Actual salary: £18,733 to £19,027 per annum
- 32.5 Hours per week, Term Time Only
- Commencing: 01 September 2026
Your responsibilities will include working with children to assist with the development of communication, reading and writing skills, basic educational skills and general curriculum activities as directed by the teacher or SENDCO. You will provide support to students with special needs within the care of the teaching assistant to enable them to gain maximum benefit from the curriculum, integrate with other students and adjust to the day‑to‑day experiences of life in a secondary academy.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues and be supported by a strong Senior Leadership Team. The Learning Support team is well led and committed to improving standards.
