Support Worker – Darlington Road, Stockton-on-Tees

Full-time – 39 hours per week. Pay: £12.71 per hour. Great benefits, rewards, training and recognition initiatives.

About the Service

We are looking for someone to join our friendly and welcoming team at our Darlington Road service in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a registered care home, where you’ll have the opportunity to truly enhance people’s lives by delivering creative, dynamic and person-centred support. You will be supporting 7 individuals with a range of complex needs, helping them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives every day.

The Role

  • Providing personal care (bathing, dressing, feeding)
  • Household tasks such as laundry, ironing and cleaning
  • Supporting activities both in the service and in the community
  • Accompanying individuals to activities such as swimming, ice skating, disco, bowling, walks, day trips and holidays
  • Supporting with shopping and managing finances
  • Administering medication
  • Completing daily logs and updating records using the One Touch digital platform
  • Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly health & safety checks
  • Promoting independence, safety and wellbeing every day

Shifts

Hours are double shifts of 14 hours, half shifts of 6 or 8 hours, and night shifts of 10 hours. We also have 12 hours per day of 1:1 hours for one person, which will be part of the rota. Full availability is required across the week and on weekends.

  • Long day: 07:30 – 21:30 (14 hours)
  • Half shift: 07:30 – 13:30; 13:30 – 21:30
  • Waking night: 21:30 – 07:30 (10 hours)

Requirements

  • Previous experience desirable; full training will be provided
  • Enhanced Adult DBS required
