What we are looking for:
- Experience working with young people aged 11-16, particularly those with SEND and or SEMH needs
- Experience supporting students with EHCPs
- Experience in Alternative Provision or similar settings
- Calm, patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Ability to work in a small team
- Good organisation skills and confidence using IT for administrative tasks
- Good communication skills – written and verbal.
- Able to use your own initiative and make decisions
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English at grade C or above
Duties/responsibilities:
- To provide learning support for bespoke groups of students aged 14–16 years who are attending the 14–16 Alternative Provision at Nescot.
- To encourage the engagement, resilience, and positive learning behaviour of students in lessons so that they have a sense of achievement and assist them in re‑engaging in education.
- To provide support to individual students and small groups in lessons, vocational sessions and interventions.
- To assist students in identifying a pathway for Post 16.
