Production Operative

Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a client which specialises in designing and manufacturing furniture.

This position is suited to someone who is reliable, practical, and comfortable working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced setting.

Main Duties of this position

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (with overtime available)
• 12 week temp to perm position
• Cleaning and preparing metal components for powder coating
• Labelling metal parts accurately for production and dispatch
• Preparing finished items for dispatch once production is complete
• Securely wrapping metal products ready for delivery and transportation

What we require from you

• Own transport to commute to and from work is essential due to the location of the client
• Physically fit and happy to heavy lift due to the nature of the work
• Great attention to detail
• Computer literate, ability to read diagrams and drawings
• Sandblasting experience is beneficial but not essential
• Hardworking, reliable, and honest
• Team player with the ability to work independently when needed
