Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Student Support Officer to join our supportive secondary school in the Corby area from September 2026. This role is an opportunity to support young people academically and emotionally, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

This role would suit experienced pastoral staff, youth workers, teaching assistants, or individuals looking to further their career within education and student support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral and behavioural support to students across the school
• Build positive and professional relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Support attendance, wellbeing, and engagement with learning
• Remain calm, resilient, and adaptable in a busy school environment

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in an educational, pastoral, or support-based setting
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide pastoral and behavioural support to students
• Ability to remain calm, resilient, and adaptable in a busy school environment
