Building Futures Project Worker (0.6 FTE)

Building Futures team: Supporting and empowering young people into employment and independence across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Working with young people in their homes, you will manage your own caseload within a small, supportive team.

How we work: Our work is rooted in Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and Trauma‑Informed Practice (TIP). You do not need prior experience in PIE or TIP – we will support your learning.

What you will be doing

  • Adopting a flexible and creative approach to support, enabling young people to build independent living skills and move into employment, training or education.
  • Using initiative and taking a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Assessing and supporting young people appropriately to manage risks.
  • Developing your skills and understanding of housing management.
  • Ensuring our properties provide a safe and welcoming home environment for young people.
  • Working jointly with external partners to provide considered and consistent support.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records to support effective information sharing.

Contract details

  • Hours per week: 22.5 including bank holidays and one weekend in five; on‑call rota up to five weeks a year (pro‑rata for part‑time).
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Pay: £31,537 – £33,143 per annum (pro‑rata) plus on‑call allowance of £150 per week (five weeks a year, pro‑rata).
  • Location: Central Bristol with travel across Bristol and South Gloucestershire; flexibility to work from home.
