Yard Person (Severn Bridge)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the yard, including loading and unloading materials, operating equipment, and ensuring a tidy and organized yard. This role is crucial in supporting our manufacturing operations and maintaining efficient workflow in the yard. You may also be required to provide office assistance upon occasion.

Duties

• Load and unload materials from trucks and customer vehicles using forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes.
• Organize and maintain the yard area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse, yard distribution or similar environments is required.
• Experience with operating forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes is required.
• Experience with warehouse management is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self‑motivated.
• Attention to details and organization skills are essential for success in this role.
