Role Overview

The Assistant Retail Manager will oversee daily operations, drive sales performance, and maintain the brand’s high-end aesthetic standards. This role is pivotal in leading the retail team to deliver a sophisticated, tactile customer experience while assisting in the execution of localized marketing and content strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence & Leadership

  • Supervise daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash management, and staff scheduling.
  • Lead and mentor the retail team, ensuring high standards of service and product knowledge.
  • Conduct regular staff training on storytelling and the technical aspects of the product range.
  • Monitor KPIs (conversion rates, average transaction value) and implement strategies to meet sales targets.

2. Brand & Visual Merchandising

  • Ensure the store maintains a pristine, minimalist aesthetic in line with brand guidelines.
  • Oversee the structural integrity of product displays, focusing on the tactile and industrial design elements of the packaging.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure seamless stock replenishment.

3. Digital Integration & Content Support

  • Assist in the “in-house” content creation model by identifying storytelling opportunities on the floor.
  • Encourage the team to capture high-quality, organic visual content for social media platforms.
  • Manage local customer relationships and CRM data to drive repeat visits and brand loyalty.

4. Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure the store remains compliant with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations and retail safety standards.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including inventory auditing and reporting on store performance to HQ.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within luxury skincare, fragrance, or high-end lifestyle sectors.
  • Aesthetic Sensitivity: A strong appreciation for industrial design, minimalist aesthetics, and the “materiality” of premium products.
  • Communication: Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base and regional partners.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
    • Tech-savvy with an understanding of social media content trends.
    • Proficient in POS systems and inventory management software.
  • Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, flagship environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a flagship store launch or luxury retail environment.
  • Knowledge of traditional business philosophies or high-level clienteling techniques.
