The 1st Line IT Support Team is the first point of contact for all council IT users. The role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to ask the right questions, record facts accurately, enjoy solving problems and helping people, and prior experience in a customer services environment.
About the job
The 1st Line IT Support Team assists users with using, acquiring or changing IT equipment to support their day‑to‑day work. This includes frontline support for staff such as Highways Inspectors, Social Workers and Councillors. Team responsibilities include communicating with users, accurately troubleshooting and logging issues in a service desk system, providing resolution where possible, or escalating to another team when appropriate.
