Salary: £28,860 pro rata per annum
Working Hours: Part time – 20 hours per week
Working Pattern: 20 hours spread over 5 days on a rota, including weekends

You will improve the quality of life of our customers, building confidence and skills to allow them to live independently while playing an active role in their communities. We are looking for passionate, experienced and community‑spirited Catering Assistants to help make a difference with our vulnerable customers. You will be part of a catering team required in the front and back of house and providing catering to Prothero House.
About you

Responsibilities
Food Service
- Supervise and provide a breakfast and evening meal service to up to 95 vulnerable customers
- Prepare continental breakfast and pre‑prepared evening meals
- Regenerate, display and serve food and beverages
- Perform dining room duties, including setting up and clearing away dining and conferencing areas
- Ensure a positive, friendly and welcoming environment for customers
- Present and set out food and refreshments for conferencing events
Health and Safety
- Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards are met in the kitchen and dining areas
- Use chemicals and equipment correctly, adhering to safety procedures at all times
- Wash up after meals, ensuring all crockery and equipment is cleaned, stored appropriately, and that overall cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas is carried out effectively
- Assist with the checking and recording of equipment and food temperatures as directed
- Report immediately to the Manager or Person in Charge any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a customer, colleague, self or another
- Understand and ensure the implementation of Health and Safety, Infection Control and Hygiene policies, and Emergency and Fire procedures
- Report to the Manager or facilities team any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or potential hazard

- Experience of conference catering and food presentation
