Schedule
This role is a 39 hour week. Hours of work are Monday‑Thursday: 8am‑4.30pm and Friday: 8am‑4pm. A 9 day fortnight is available to those who want it. The successful candidate would be expected to be on site 5 days per week.
Salary
Up to £32,000 per annum, dependent upon experience.
Responsibilities
- Repair, test and overhaul valve & cylinder assemblies and undertake hydrostatic testing of cylinders and charging of complete assemblies (up to 4500 PSI).
- Strip down valve assemblies.
- Replace standard spares as part of the overhaul process.
- Inspect individual parts and replace defective items.
- Thoroughly clean components.
- Build up valve assemblies ready for testing on various flow rigs.
- Hydrostatic testing of cylinders in accordance with Department of Transport requirements.
- Re‑assemble the valve and cylinder components.
- Charge complete assemblies to pressures of up to 4500 PSI.
- Provide ad hoc support, as required, to the safety inflatable team.

About You
- Prior experience working with compliance manuals and following them in detail (essential).
- Numerate and literate – minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in maths and English.
- Ability to work well in multi‑discipline/cross‑functional teams.
- Teamwork, reliability, flexibility and skill required within a small team of skilled technicians.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build close‑knit relationships.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multitask while maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Strong communicator (written and verbal).
