Manufacturing Operator
As a Manufacturing Operator, you will play a key role in supporting plant production by operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, ensuring that production processes run smoothly while meeting quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining plant production by performing repairs within scope of expertise.
- Interpret and execute work orders in line with established safe work procedures.
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on plant equipment as planned.
- Set up, monitor, and operate equipment used in manufacturing and production processes.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously where required.
- Conduct quality assurance activities in line with manufacturing, engineering, and ISO requirements.
- Perform specialized process functions and operate associated equipment.
- Monitor and test production output to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Use general hand tools and precision measuring equipment effectively.
- Assist with transporting, loading, and unloading of raw materials and finished goods.
- Clean production equipment and collect samples for analysis.
- Operate and adjust controls to maintain process efficiency.
- Test and repair instrumentation systems to ensure consistent performance and product quality.
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support production requirements as needed.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on technical skills.
- Familiar with safe work procedures and operational practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain production equipment effectively.
- Basic knowledge of quality standards, including ISO requirements.
- Comfortable working with general tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Work effectively under intermittent supervision.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced work setting.
- Follow competency management program requirements.
- Apply strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
QHSE Responsibilities
- Ensure all applicable quality and operational procedures, as defined in Baker Hughes policies, are adhered to at all times.
- Perform all activities in accordance with Baker Hughes safety and environmental procedures.
- Ensure all incidents and accidents are immediately reported and that all required documentation is completed.
