Job details

• Contract: 12–18 months
• Role: CNC Setter, Operator, Turner – Machine Tooling, CNC Machining, Manufacturing
• Location: Milton Keynes
• Commutable locations: Leighton Buzzard, Buckingham, Bletchley, Wolverton, Newport Pagnell, Towcester
• Hours: 40-hour week (Rotating double Day shift)
  • Week 1, 3 & 5: Monday–Thursday 06:00–14:30; Friday 06:00–12:00
  • Week 2, 4 & 6: Monday–Thursday 13:00–23:00
• Salary: £30,000–£35,000 (negotiable based on background and experience)

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes
• Maintain product quality through first-off and sample preparation
• Operate CNC and manual metrology equipment
• Maintain on-time adherence for the work schedule
• Maintain the condition of machinery through routine checks and cleaning
• Personal and operational safety
• Actively engage in continuous improvement for safety, quality, and efficiency

Person specification

• CNC turning, setting and operating machine tooling experience
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths, English, Engineering, or Craft qualification
• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality
• Willingness to take responsibility and initiative
