Mechanical Fitters in LA3, Heysham, Lancashire

Mechanical Fitters required for the Heysham ‘2’ Statutory Outage which commences early September 2026.

Successful applicants should preferably possess knowledge of turbine components and associated plant/equipment and technologies.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

• Strong mechanical fitting, assembly, and repair skills.
• Experience with rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and motors.
• Proficient in using measuring equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• IT skills for data recording.

You should be in possession of a recognised apprenticeship and typically requires a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering Maintenance.

You must hold a current Client Contractor Safety Group Passport.

Security Clearance to CTC Level would be an advantage.
