Overview
Paulton Junior School is a large junior school located in the village of Paulton (between Bath and Bristol) with 240 pupils enrolled. We are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work across all age ranges, providing flexible support to children of all abilities, including those requiring SEND support.
Responsibilities
- Support learning for pupils across all age ranges.
- Provide 1:1 support and lead intervention groups.
- Assist with class-based activities.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCo to support SEND pupils and ensuring their individual progress.
Qualifications
- Passionate belief that all children deserve a high quality of education.

- Able to handle new and challenging situations.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Initiative and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience or ability to work in a SEND role, supporting classroom learning and ensuring individual progress.
- Effective relationship building with both children and colleagues.
- Maintain high expectations of self and others.
