Activity Coordinator
Location: The Springs, Spring Lane, Malvern, WR14 1AL. Salary: £13.10 – £14.10 per hour, dependent on experience. Contract: Permanent, 24 hours per week, rota includes alternate weekends.
Job Description
At Bupa care homes we deliver person‑centred care, supporting independence and honouring choice to help residents live their best lives. An Activity Coordinator is the chief fun officer, creating a vibrant, joy‑filled atmosphere for residents. They design events, hobbies, and activities—arts and crafts, baking, book clubs, pub quizzes—tailored to residents’ interests and therapeutic needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Run morning and afternoon activity sessions.
- Produce and update an activity planner for the home, managing an activities budget.
- Organise birthday celebrations for residents.
- Coordinate external performances or day‑out events with community performers and companies.
- Arrange one‑to‑one activities such as reminiscence, puzzles, reading, tea and chat.
- Support the home’s social media channels as required.
Key Skills / Qualifications
A creative thinker with many ideas, strong budgeting and paperwork skills, and the ability to manage priorities. A passion for caring, a sense of humour, and the enthusiasm to improve residents’ lives.
