About the role
Rutland County Council, ranked as a top performing local authority in England for Adult Social Care, is offering two Social Worker positions in the Adult Social Care Contact and Response Team. Both roles are part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that provides advice, triage, assessment and short‑term intervention to adults who may require support.
Job Details
- Full‑time Social Worker – 2‑year fixed‑term contract, 37 hours per week.
- Part‑time Social Worker – maternity cover for 12 months, 26.25 hours per week.
Duties
- Undertake Care Act assessments and develop outcome‑focused support plans.
- Provide information, advice and signposting to individuals, carers and professionals.
- Triage referrals and contribute to timely decision‑making within a busy front‑door service.
- Complete Mental Capacity Assessments, Best‑Interest decisions and Decision Support Tools.
- Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, following Rutland safeguarding procedures.
- Facilitate the use of personal budgets and direct payments.
- Work collaboratively with health colleagues and other partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate and high‑quality case recording in line with service standards.
Qualifications
- Qualified to at least Level 2 and registered with Social Work England.
- Experienced and reflective.
- Confident working within a front‑door Adult Social Care Service.
- Able to make timely and proportionate decisions to support adults.
- Able to manage risk effectively.
