Sign‑On Bonus

We offer a sign‑on bonus of £1000 paid in two instalments: £500 after 3 months and £500 after 6 months.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating HGV/Class 1 trunking runs between Rugby and Peterborough
• Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner
• Communicate effectively with the customer prior to delivery to ensure that they know you’re on your way
• Ensure furniture is delivered to the requested room and no rubbish is left behind
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners
• Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer
• Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects or missing items immediately
• Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures

The role is for you if…

• You hold an HGV / Class 1 Licence, Digi Tacho, CPC Card and a valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months, max 6 points)
• You would enjoy a blended role of driving an HGV between sites (Rugby to Peterborough) and also driving a 7.5‑ton to our customers
• You’re great with people and enjoy helping customers
• You’ve got strong time‑management skills and thrive on variety
• You’re comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in different home settings
• You take pride in your work and value safety – of yourself and those around you
• You’re ready to work as part of a supportive two‑person team
