Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver

Position: 12‑month fixed‑term contract at our 445 branch located at 190 High Street, Boston Spa, LS23 6BT.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 12:00. Flexible to work within these opening times.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing homes and residential homes.
• Deliver prescription items within the designated period of time and according to company regulated procedures.
• Plan and print daily routes in the branch before set‑off.
• Provide a high standard of customer service, portraying a friendly professional image and acting as an ambassador for the Cohens brand.
• Assist with PR exercises to increase business.
• Use your own vehicle for this role; ensure your personal insurance policy allows for business use. Arrange for business insurance coverage for the vehicle (the Company will contribute to the insurance on receipt of documentation). Fuel receipts must be obtained and mileage claims submitted weekly.
• Reimbursement for mileage undertaken on business journeys will be at a rate of 42p per mile up to 10,000 miles, after which 25p per mile will be reimbursed as per HMRC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Good people skills and a desire to provide a professional service standard.
• Basic computer skills to plan and print routes.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
• Must possess a vehicle that can be insured for business use.
