The role will also include taking ownership of a suite of XOL treaty placements that includes premium processing and claim recoveries.Key Responsibilities:Build relationships with all internal stakeholders in the month end process, predominantly colleagues in financeEnsure the month end close process is completed in the given timeframes and all data/transactions are captured by XLPro, and fed correctively downstream to the ledgersUnderstand and create reinsurance contracts in outwards systemsInitiate settlement of reinsurance premium to broker and carrier with credit control teamIdentification and calculation of reinsurance recoveries within reinsurance systems including reconciliations to Finance outputsSubmit accurate and timely statements, advices and collection notes to brokers and reinsurersSkills and Experience Specification:Essential:The successful candidate will require knowledge and experience gained through working for an Insurance/Reinsurance Syndicate, Company or Broker.Experience, knowledge of the Insurance/Reinsurance Market from a Lloyd’s, Company or broker market perspectiveExperience with month end processes and budget & forecastingConfidant, articulate and experienced in dealing with internal & external stakeholdersMethodical approach to problem solving and decision makingCustomer focus and service mentalityFocus on execution and timely delivery of quality outputsSelf-motivated, can-do attitude and pro-active mindsetWorks well as part of a team and on individual tasksStrong verbal and written communication skills, ability and confidence to challenge existing procedures & use of systemStrong computer skills – knowledge of Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and MS PowerPointDesirable:Industry recognised qualificationsContinuous improvement experienceLanguage skillsWhat We OfferThe Tokio Marine HCC Group of Companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
