Job Description:

Children’s Support Worker (Residential Support Worker)

Hourly pay: £30,849 – £33,896 for a 4 on / 4 off shift rota.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 support to young people during night shifts, responding to crises, trauma, illness or sleep difficulties.
  • Develop rapport and become a trusted figure for those in care.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, maintain records and manage documentation accuracy.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the home (cleaning, laundry, tidying).
  • Support daily routines and activities as required.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • Can‑do, team‑player, compassionate, empathetic and resilient.
  • Experience with children or adults with social, emotional and mental health needs is a plus.
  • Level3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) preferred; if not, we will fund study.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and online search. DBS cover is provided.
