Children’s Support Worker (Residential Support Worker)
Hourly pay: £30,849 – £33,896 for a 4 on / 4 off shift rota.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 support to young people during night shifts, responding to crises, trauma, illness or sleep difficulties.
- Develop rapport and become a trusted figure for those in care.
- Complete necessary paperwork, maintain records and manage documentation accuracy.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the home (cleaning, laundry, tidying).
- Support daily routines and activities as required.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
- Can‑do, team‑player, compassionate, empathetic and resilient.
- Experience with children or adults with social, emotional and mental health needs is a plus.
- Level3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) preferred; if not, we will fund study.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and online search. DBS cover is provided.
