Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Parkhurst, a high‑security adult male prison. The role involves working alongside professionals to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls and surfaces for painting.
• Apply paints, varnishes and other finishes.
• Work with maintenance teams on painting projects.
• Maintain paint supplies and tools.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a maintenance team.
• Honest and reliable character.
• Good health and safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills.
