Male SEN Teaching Assistant – Harrow – Full Time – Immediate Start
Are you a dedicated and proactive male SEN teaching assistant looking for a full-time role in Harrow? A specialist SEN provision in Harrow is seeking a reliable TE to join their team with an immediate start.
This role involves working with students with special educational needs to build confidence, life skills and greater autonomy for adult life. The TE will work closely with learners to help them progress academically, socially and practically within a structured environment.
Job Role & Key Duties
- Assist post‑16 learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Help learners develop life skills for adult life.
- Deliver practical learning activities including travel training, budgeting, cooking, shopping and daily living tasks.
- Encourage communication, confidence and positive interaction.
- Assist classroom learning and off‑site community activities.
- Manage behaviour and guide learners in positive routines.
- Work alongside teachers, therapists and SEN professionals.
- Track learner progress and contribute to development plans.
- Create a structured and safe learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
Patient, resilient, proactive and dedicated to making a real difference. Experience in SEN, education, care or youth settings is desirable.
