SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time Location: Barnet, North London Salary: £90 – £95 per day Contract: Full Time Start Date: September 2026

The Role

The school are looking for a proactive and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEN in and out of the classroom
• Delivering targeted interventions and tailored learning support
• Helping pupils build confidence, independence and social skills
• Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• A calm, patient and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Relevant SEN experience or training is desirable
