Responsibilities
- Raise and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor stock levels and support effective inventory control to meet operational demands.
- Liaise with suppliers to track orders, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Support supplier negotiations by gathering pricing, lead time, and product information.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing data, and supplier information.
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and service teams to understand requirements and demand.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved supplier performance.
- Assist with sourcing new products or suppliers where required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and efficiency.
- Process warranty claims with our suppliers.
Qualifications
- Experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative role (ideally in a fast-paced environment).
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
- Good communication skills, with confidence liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in cost control and supplier performance.
- Experience using IT systems, spreadsheets, and purchasing or ERP systems.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments.
