About us

Speck ABC UK Ltd are a family run business, sole UK distributor of Speck/Circutec pumps. They supply an

array of high-quality process pumps ranging from mainly vacuum pumps to side channel, hot oil, diaphragm

pumps. They also are an approved distributor for Ingersoll Rand ARO, Samoa and Airtech.

General job description

The Pump Sales Engineer will need to be familiar with any combination of vacuum, centrifugal, diaphragm

or multistage pumps and pump applications. Prior work experience in this industry is beneficial. Knowledge

in mechanical engineering and relevant industries is required.

Responsible for a sales area in the UK, long distance visits required. Predominantly on the road sales of our

pump range (mostly Speck/Circutec pumps), visiting customer sites with remote planning.

Identify prospects, follow up on inquiries and chase quotations. Required to look after customers’ needs,

promote sales of new pumps and repairs plus assist with customer technical queries.

Support and product training will be provided from head office on technical matters.

Responsibilities

• Travel and liaise with customers regularly in their sales area/generate good relationships

• Promote sales, our brand and customer service in the sales area

• Targeting businesses in the Process, Industrial and OEM markets

• Plan and organise weekly customer visits

• Update customer relationship activities on the CRM system

• Identify potential markets and search for new customers to promote our products

• Identify pump repairs and promote our repair workshop

• Communicate with Sales Manager on lead generation and activities

• Monitor inquiries and achieve monthly sales targets

• Attend head office at least once a month for a sales meeting

• Provide updates and detail in the sales meetings

• Communicate regularly with head office

• Keep up to date with product knowledge and training

Qualifications

• Engineering Qualification preferred

• Previous sales experience beneficial

• Willingness to travel

• Excellent people communication and people skills is a must

• Customer focused

• Desire to learn our products and grasp technical knowledge

• Ability to work independently and autonomously whilst being a team player

• UK Driving Licence required
