Mechanical Test Engineer
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Test Engineer to join an innovative engineering team focused on developing and validating cutting-edge hardware systems. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building and operating bespoke test environments that support the development of advanced products across demanding applications.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating custom testbeds to validate performance, durability, and compliance. Working closely with design and engineering teams, you will support rapid product iteration and contribute to the development of robust, reliable systems.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on prototyping and testing experience within a workshop, laboratory, or R&D environment
- Experience scaling test systems from prototype through to production-level validation
- Familiarity with UK, EU, and US testing standards and certification requirements
- Experience designing hardware test systems and developing or using automated test software
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a small, high-performing engineering team
