Retail Assistant – Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Berwick‑upon‑Tweedd, Northumberland. The role is a permanent part‑time position with a variety of shifts, requiring a minimum of 8 hours worked over 2 days each week, including weekend and weekday evening shifts.

Contract Details

• Position: PTRA (Retail Assistant)
• Hours: 8 hours across 2 days per week
• Pay: £10.95–£12.81 per hour (based on age: 16‑20 £10.95, 21+ £12.81)

• Training: Great training and development opportunities; career progression to Shop or Area Manager.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a friendly smile and greeting.
• Assist customers in finding products.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, including packing assistance.
• Handle stock carefully, perform deliveries, and organize products for sale.
• Support the team in daily and weekly routines to keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy.
