Role Overview
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that help students build a strong foundation in mathematics. You will foster a positive learning environment where all students feel encouraged and supported. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to support their development
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Work with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
- Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive learning atmosphere
- Provide extra support for students who may require additional help, including those with special educational needs (SEN)
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
Key Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Previous teaching experience (desirable, but not essential for NQTs)
- A passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their best
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to the success and well‑being of students
- Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- A proactive and innovative approach to teaching
