Delivery Technician – Wellingborough, North Northamptonshire

We’re looking for a Delivery Technician to join our North Northamptonshire Highways Maintenance team based in Wellingborough. In this role, you will help ensure the safe, high‑quality delivery of our works by applying Kier’s Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies and procedures. You’ll be responsible for checking and validating work instructions before they are issued to repair teams, as well as carrying out site inspections and audits to confirm compliance with our standards.

Location

Wellingborough Depot, North Northamptonshire – travel to the office required; some remote working available.

Hours

40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule maintenance works using dedicated management systems.
  • Coordinate small carriageway and footway surfacing projects.
  • Ensure works comply with specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site-based inspections and verification checks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to find cost‑effective maintenance solutions.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
  • Possess Traffic Management 12D M7 (Lantra) certification.
  • Be comfortable using MS Office and other IT systems.
  • Enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
  • Be passionate about delivering quality results and continuous improvement.
