Job Description
Cleaner will support the Housekeeping team by cleaning and preparing school buildings for the school day, evening events, and weekend events. Working primarily at the Upper School on Hills Road, the role involves cleaning furniture, high‑level dusting, glazing, and floor care during term time and a deep clean during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean all furniture, skirting boards, ledges, shelving, and perform high‑level dusting.
- Empty rubbish bins and clean internal glazing.
- Hoover or sweep and mop floors as required.
- Remove marks on walls and clean sinks and toilet areas.
- Assist with additional areas during staff absences.
- During holidays, move movable items, wash walls, remove blue tack, clean woodwork, spot‑wash stained carpeted areas.
Person Specification
Desirable Knowledge
- Understanding of cleaning practice and associated safety procedures.
Desirable Relevant Experience
- Experience working in a school environment.
- Experience of cleaning work.

Working Hours
2‑hour shifts (10 hours per week) between 5 pm and 8 pm, Monday to Friday during term time.
