Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Newburn for a Loading Shovel Operator. The role involves operating loading shovels to handle aggregates and raw materials effectively, maintaining equipment to ensure it functions safely and efficiently, and assisting with general yard tasks as needed. The operator will adhere to strict health and safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating loading shovels
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in an industrial or construction environment
- Ability to conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery
- Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks within the yard operations
- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or similar industries is preferred
- Relevant certifications such as CSCS or CPCS card are an advantage
