Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Reporting into the Senior Maintenance Supervisor, you will initially work alongside experienced engineers to undertake the technical installations and inspections of large LPG tanks.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Troubleshoot and maintain site equipment in both planned and crash situations.
• Identify faulty equipment through observation, troubleshooting and testing metrics.
• Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
• Work with site operations personnel to identify malfunctioning equipment and identify improvement strategies to improve reliability.
• Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 with at least 5 years post Apprenticeship experience; desire to be working towards or having attained HNC or NVQ Level 4 would be desirable.
• Good computer skills.
• Work experience on industrial process plants in the chemical or oil and gas industry would be an advantage.
• Understanding of condition monitoring techniques and best practice lubrication practices would be an advantage.
• Strong safety and work quality attitude will be essential.
