Technical Assistant
Via East Midlands are currently seeking a part time Technical Assistant to join our Construction Delivery team based out of our Bilsthorpe Depot. This role is part time at 25 hours per week for 6 months.

We deliver essential infrastructure, from road maintenance and construction to street lighting and fleet management keeping Nottinghamshire’s highways safe, reliable, and built to last.
What you’ll do:
- Undertake administrative tasks on behalf of the Drainage and Road Markings Team to contribute to the delivery of the services
- Respond to queries in person or over the phone from internal and external customers to provide timely information.
- Input and manage data in generic and Via specific IT systems on behalf of operational teams to support performance management
- Control and monitor the use of specific resources by colleagues at the depots to ensure cost and quality control
- Gather and process data from all areas of the business to meet H&S legislation, Environmental legislation and ISO requirements
- Plan and Prioritise work to meet operational deadlines to facilitate service delivery
What we’re seeking:
- Knowledge gained through practical experience in an administrative or customer service environment
- Strong ICT skills with experience of using applications including Microsoft Word and Excel, email and the internet
- Experience of providing information to, and dealing with, internal and external customers in person or via email or over the phone
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise workload and react to customer queries in a busy office environment
- Flexibility to learn new skills and a look for continuous improvement of service delivery
