Aspire People are looking for an enthusiastic Qualified Teacher to work in a 2-form entry primary school based in Kingshurst.
You will be looking after a Year 3 class with full teaching responsibilities. This is a full-time role, starting in September 2026 on an ongoing basis, possibly for the rest of the academic year.
Areas of Responsibility and Key Tasks
- Plan, teach, and manage the class to achieve progression of learning.
- Identify clear teaching objectives and decide how they will be taught and assessed.
- Set tasks that challenge pupils and maintain high levels of interest.
- Identify SEN or very able pupils.
- Provide clear structure for lessons, maintain pace, motivation and challenge.
- Use assessment effectively and ensure coverage of programmes of study.
- Use available time effectively to deliver best teaching.
- Maintain discipline in line with the school’s procedures and encourage good behaviour, standards of work, and homework compliance.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to match the approach to content, structure information, present key ideas and use appropriate vocabulary.
- Use effective questioning, listen carefully, give attention to errors and misconceptions.
- Ensure pupils acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught.
- Evaluate own teaching critically to improve effectiveness.
- Deploy classroom support effectively and efficiently.
- Provide structured learning opportunities that develop the areas of learning identified in national and local policies and foundations for literacy and numeracy.
- Encourage pupils to think and talk about their learning, develop self‑control and independence, concentrate, persevere, and listen attentively.
You must be a Qualified Teacher with QTS and experience working in Primary Schools (KS2). ECTs are welcome to apply.
